High School // Grades 9-12
Our Student Ministries are a critical part of the life of Smokey Point Community Church. We place a high priority on our student ministries because students are at a critical place in life. Opportunities are many and choices have far-reaching consequences, and because their impact on the Kingdom of God can be awesome!
We believe that students are capable of big things. We accomplish this is through prayer, relationships and some serious fun. Our programs are designed to provide an environment for discipleship to take place.
High School students are encouraged to participate in one of the all-church weekend services.
FIRE is the foundation of our High School ministry. We meet Wednesdays from 7pm-8:30pm in the youth room for worship and some fun and then divide into small groups to dig into the Bible through discussion. Every several weeks we go big with maybe an open-mic coffee house experience, video scavenger hunt, our Gladiators event, or some other craziness.
Discipleship Groups meet weekly through the school year at different times. If you are serious about your faith and want to be challenged in your pursuit of Jesus, this is where you will want to plug in!
A big part of what we do is get away on trips. Mission trips, summer camp at Hume Lake, winter camp, trips to bring your friends on, discipleship training trips,…etc.
Get plugged in to what is going on in our high school ministry!
Student Ministries Pastor
I enjoy Taco Bell, rock climbing, my dog Wrigley, playing music, coffee, and talking with students about life. I am married to the most wonderful woman on the planet and we both love to be used by God in whatever way possible.

Student Ministries Intern
I love rap and hip hop music, basketball, the Oregon Ducks, coffee with some vanilla creamer, and have a deep passion to see students transformed by God. I’m actively still learning what God has for me and encourage everyone to have a posture of learning!
