KID VENTURES
Kid Ventures is more than just a way to occupy kids while their parents attend church – it’s church for kids, with worship, age appropriate curriculum, hands on activities and lots of fun!
NURSERY
Birth through 2 years:

Our loving nursery team enjoys caring for your baby while you attend services. Your child will be loved on, prayed for, and cared for each time they are with us. If your child needs you during services we will send you a text message on your cell phone.
PRESCHOOL
2 years through Kindergarten:
​
​Parents can expect a safe and age-appropriate environment for their children to build relationships with their teachers, other preschoolers, and learn about the love of Jesus in a meaningful way. Your child will get a take-home page each week with the Bible story and additional activities to do as a family at home.
ELEMENTARY
1st-5th grade:
​
Our elementary classrooms are fun environments designed to help kids go deeper in their understanding for Jesus, the Bible, and the church.
SPECIAL NEEDS
We are passionate about all children having the opportunity to attend church and learn about Jesus. If your child has a disability or special need, we would love to learn more about your child and how we can help make coming to church a fun and positive experience! Please contact Justine Stone (Elementary age) or Roxanne Shanks (Nursery & Preschool age) with any concerns or questions.
DISCOVERY CLUB
Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:15pm
for kids 1st-5th Grade**
during the school year

Discovery Club (D-Club) is our weeknight discipleship program for children 1st through 5th grade. Through age-appropriate curriculum, skills classes, and breakout groups, leaders help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus.

**Care for early childhood children (newborn through Kindergarten) is available for kids whose parents are Onsite Tuesday evenings for Life Groups, volunteering, etc.
LITTLE LIGHT PRESCHOOL

Little Light Preschool is a ministry of Smokey Point Community Church. It is a Christian preschool focused on quality early childhood education for 3-5 year olds. Learn more here>>
MEET JUSTINE
Elementary Director
I am honored that I get to work with kiddos and their families as they grow and learn more about how much God loves them! My husband and I have 4 kids (toddler to preteen) and we live on a small farm. Most of my days include homeschooling and working on the farm. Some of my favorite things are coffee, a good podcast or audio book, being outside, camping, hiking, or a relaxing day at a lake.
MEET ROXANNE
Early Childhood Director
It is such a privilege to care for young children and their families at SPCC. Children are such a blessing! My experiences with children include years of serving in children's ministries, teaching in preschools, teaching first grade, running an in-home daycare and I'm a mother to 3 young men. I have a BA in early childhood education and family studies. When not at church, I love hiking with friends and spending quiet time outside by the river and in the woods.
